The Old Sail Loft. Beautiful position, right on the quay. One of the oldest buildings in Looe. Very friendly service, excellent quality, imaginative food. Tel: 01503 262131.

Papa Nino Ristorante Italiano. Been in Looe forever. Our Italian guests love it. Tel: 01503 264231.

And if it's a great pub with fantastic food and a real Cornish welcome you are after then you must try the Jubilee Inn at Pelynt.

Smugglers Cot. Another really ancient building, excellent steak house and carvery, and they can cook your fish in a paper bag!! Very good reports this year. Tel: 01503 262397.

As for the best local fish and chips with HUGE portions and fried to order fish, The Coddy Shack is up there with the best. Eat in or takeaway, well worth timing your visit to make the most of their live music events.
